Too Faced Liquif-Eye

Vanessa was generous enough to send me the prize I won from her competition! Well sort of competition at least lol. My prize is the Too Faced Liquif-Eye palette and I'm totally loving it! It's also great just as use for eye shadow and the colors for the liners are really pretty. I'll do a look with these soon. They're great for bringing to and from my boyfriend's house since there's such a wide array of colors in the palette and it's relatively easy to travel with.

Now I can wear any color liner. The possibilities are endless muahahahaha.

Thanks Vanessa!

ELF!

I swore to myself that I'd NEVER buy from ELF again because of my previous experience with their horrible customer service, MONTH LONG (no kidding) turn around time, and because there were items missing in my shipment that they only half refunded me for. But anywho.... this time around, they shipped it out really fast... I think even within a week and nothing was missing from my order this time so they've redeemed themselves a little bit...

THIS time, I decided to order from them again cuz one of my best friends bought some brushes and I couldn't resist but to get some of my own. I did get their brow comb brush the first time I ordered from them and didn't like it at all so I thought their other brushes wouldn't be as good either, but all the eye brushes are VERY SOFT. My best friend got all the eye brushes and some of the face brushes. She said the eye brushes were good, but the face brushes were a bit scratchy and harsh and I agree. I was at her house playing with her brushes and ordered them right away lol. I haven't used them yet, but they are really really soft and they are totally worth it considering they're only $1 each. What do you have to lose right?

Smudge Brush
Blending Brush
Eye Defining Brush
Lip Brush
Eyeshadow Brush

I also got a quad that I'm TOTALLY satisfied with :D :D :D I bring a lot of my depotted eye shadows to my boyfriend's house a lot, but I only like taking a few colors and not the whole palette. The ELF quad totally outshines the MAC quad since it's only $1 and works just as well. I only ordered one of these, but I should've ordered more!

Product Review: Too Faced The New Romantic Peacock Palette

Product: Too Faced The New Romantic Peacock Palette
Packaging: 4.5 out of 5. It's beautiful! The cover has felt on it and the peacock is a made out of rubber!
Overall: 3 out of 5
Price: $11 at Beauty Crunch and $27.50 at Too Faced
Would You Buy This Again? Maybe. I'd buy the black palette over getting this one again though.

PROS: The packaging is really cute and it comes with a brush. I don't use the sponge tip applicator, but I do use the other side for the lip products. The eye shadows are quite pigmented--especially the pink one and the dark brown one. The blush is also pretty pigmented and it made my cheeks pop :D

CONS: I had a REALLY hard time trying to use these eye shadows WET! I thought they'd have more pigment if I used them wet--wrong! The color barely even stuck to the wet brush and to my lid. Shrugs? The lipglosses are also really dry and sheer... It's not a bad thing though if you like sheer. I had to put some clear shinier gloss over these to make them not so dry.

Beauty Crunch Haul

Thanks to those of you who left comments about the previous post. My cousin said they're fine and not to worry anymore lol.

Anywho, my Beauty Crunch Haul came! I just ordered it like... four days ago! Lol. I LOVE their quick turn around! I think they shipped my stuff the day after I ordered and it got to me in like 2 days. (Well we are in the same state, but just the fact that they shipped it out so quickly!) And everything was SOOO worth it! The only downside is that their shipping is $7.95, but it's okay since everything else is so discounted!

Two Too Faced palettes & a Stila brush roll

Stila brush roll for $12.60! I love it! and it's not too short for my MAC brushes. I put two brushes together in one slot to show that you can fit more than one in a slot!

This palette was only $11!! And it's still on the toofaced website selling for $27.50!

The eye shadows had a good amount of color pay off, but nowhere near MAC's color pay off

The last two lipglosses were suuuuper sheer. Sorry if they're a little hard to see!

This palette was a little smaller than I expected, but it still holds a lot of product.

I liked the "Bad Girl" side much more! The colors were more pigmented and not as neutral.

The only thing that I didn't like about the Too Faced palettes were that none of the lipglosses or eye shadows had individual names... and the lipglosses were a little dry, but that's how all lipglosses are in palettes anyway. But anywho, I love Beauty Crunch & I definitely look forward to purchasing more things from them since they have such good deals and ship out so quickly!!

My beloved Ben Nye Palette just arrived!

I went to "Yum cha" with the fam this morning, and I when I got home, lo and behold, a package! My Ben Nye Grande Lumiere Palette from makeupmania.com!

P.S. Yum Cha literally means "Drink Tea" in Chinese, but it's when you go to a restaurant and order a whole bunch of dim sum.

Naughty Nauticals Haul!

You know, I wasn't too impressed by the Naughty Nauticals collection until I saw most of the products in person. The eye shadows definitely didn't appeal to me as much as I thought they would have though. I knew I wanted to get submarine before I went, but I didn't like the finish. It's almost a kind of matte finish. I didn't really like it, plus it was very reminiscent of freshwater. The colors come quite close. Anyway, I was also set on the ensign lipglass, but again, it was a let down. I got hey, sailor instead.

BUT, besides all the negative, I did manage to get some awesome stuff!! LET ME SAY that the mutiny pigment is BEAUTIFUL!!! I never wear blue or hardly ever, but it looks AMAZING!!!!!! MAC doesn't make many blues like this. It's shimmery and very light. I LOVE IT! I also got the stowaway quad. The colors look very bland in the palette, but once you swoop them up, the color pay off is really unexpected. The colors go SO well together. The star in this palette I would have to say is crest the wave (the yellow one). It's a soft baby yellow, but it's very vibrant and not dull at all. I pretty much got the palette for this color (and since I don't have any of the other colors, well why not hehe). I also got pandamonium (which is a re-promote) and the ahoy, there! lipstick. It's a pretty light sheer pink which is great for me.

I'll post some FOTDS in a few days. I'm going to get my wisdom teeth out in half an hour!
