I finally got my hands on some L'oreal HIP Jelly balms! I've been waiting for Walgreens to have a BOGO free sale on them for what feels like forever! But hey, patience is a virtue. Anywho, I got two of them and I think I want to go back for Plush. I got the two darkest colors because I was afraid of how sheer they'd be and I did want SOME color. The color pay-off for these balms is pretty good considering that they are sheer balms. The color is very buildable so you can always apply more. I tried taking some swatches of the balms on my lips, but my lips kept coming out clear in the photos. I think it might've been the flash. BUT, if you're looking at me in real life, you can definitely tell that my lips aren't clear.

EOTD
Here's a look I did trying to use my new L'oreal HIP liner!
Products:
Inner lid: The She Space Ride the Wave pigment
Mid lid: The She Space Swim With the Fishes pigment
Outer lid: The She Space Acidic Reign pigment
Highlight: The She Space Off Balance pigment
Liner: L'oreal HIP Teal Cream Eyeliner
Sorry for the lack of FOTDs! Some days, my whole face just isn't worthy enough to show, yanno? lol
P.S. Jury duty sucks! I'm on telephone check-in/call for the rest of the week. Boooo! Hope I don't have to go in!
P.P.S. I thought THIS was HILARIOUS! Snagged it from Shen.

L'oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner
I'm glad Walgreens was having their BOGO free on L'oreal Hip products or else I would've never bought these. They usually retail for about $12 each and I would've just bought MAC fluidlines instead, but these were on sale! So I got them for about $6 each and they are SO WORTH IT! I love the brown one! The brown one is more matte whereas the teal is a bit more shimmery. I think I'm going to go back and buy the blue one along with a paint or something since I've been wanting to try those out too...
These definitely hold up to fluidline standards. They are very water resistant. I tried running the swatches on my hand under water and even rubbing them with my fingers and they stayed on pretty well. They didn't smudge or anything, but the color did fade a little and the brown held on better than the teal.
Overall, I'd definitely buy these again, but I'd have to wait for another BOGO free sale.

Product Review: L'oreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base
Product: L'oreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Overall: 3 out of 5
Price: $6-8
Would you buy this again? Probably not
PROS: Conveniently comes in a clear tube so you can see how much product you have left. It's easy to apply and is more creamy than it is watery. It's super cheap compared to Urban Decay's Primer Potion and I think it's a bit thicker in consistency.
CONS: It creased on me after a few hours :( I don't know if the product in my tube was dried out or if it's supposed to have a dry chalky consistency. If you're looking for something fast to use for a short amount of time, this could be it, but I wouldn't use it for long days where I need my eye shadow to stay put.

Anywho, I'm back from my camping trip a day early... My co-workers and I were camping around Northern Cali (around Santa Rosa/Calistoga) and we had to come back because there's been TONS of wildfires lately and all we've been breathing in is smoke. During the day, all you see is this hazy smoke way off in the horizon lol. It's even worse in the morning. I thought it was fog until the sun came out and it never cleared up!! We knew something was up the first night we got there because everyone with asthma started having problems... But even though we left early, it was still fun and we made the best of it :D There were about 30 of us in one little house so it was crazy! We also got to go to an observatory and look at stars and planets! We saw Jupiter & Saturn and a whole bunch of constellations.
The boyfriend and I are okay. We worked things out (thank God lol). I'm going to LA next month and I haven't a CLUE what to do there. I don't want to go to Disneyland or Universal Studios since the lines for the rides are so dang long! Anyone have any ideas?
