Bauble Bath Haul

This is a haul I got in the mail a few weeks ago. Honestly, I'm not too happy with Bauble Bath. I ordered the body scrub sampler which came with 5 one oz sample scrubs and I also ordered the bauble surprise made up of some samples and some full size products. Mine came with bath bombs, mini bath bomb, soaps, bath melts, a full size sugar scrub, shea butter, and pistachio butter.

Honestly, I feel like a lot of the scents I received were reject scents. The ones that people don't order so they have a lot of leftovers and let me tell you, I don't like about 85% of the scents that I received. I also got things like soap that I didn't even know they sell because it's not on the website... I also got two, three of the same scents in the same things (like 3 of the same bath bombs). I know it's a sampler and they can virtually put whatever they want in them, but isn't the whole point of a sampler to try different scents? Not 3 of the same thing?

Anyway, moving on to the products themselves. The sugar scrubs are true SUGAR scrubs. Nothing but sugar. They were a bit dry when I opened them and I was hoping for a more creamy/foaming sugar scrub. Not exactly what I was expecting.. I use them on my face occasionally as a face scrub because these scrubs are sugar and only sugar.. I could've made this myself! lol


The bath bombs lose their scent once they hit the water (thank god in this case, since I don't really like the scents I got but am going to use them anyway cuz I paid for them). This is my first time using a bath fizz, and I was really disappointed. There wasn't much fizz either.

I definitely wouldn't buy from them again. The scents from the website look so enticing so I figured I couldn't go wrong if I chose a sampler since most of the scents on their sound yummy and I didn't know which ones I wanted to try... but they sent me scents that weren't even on the website and were probably not their best sellers.

Smell me.

I did something naughty. I bought bath goodies!! This is the first time I've ordered bath stuff online. I've been making use of my Philosophy 3-1 bottles for the longest time cuz quite frankly, I'm trying to get rid of them. I went a little nuts about a year ago and bought WAAAY too many bottles for my own good. You wouldn't think the bottles last for so long even though you hope they do since they cost $16/bottle until it gets to the point where you just want to finish using them up already LOL. But I found this great website Bauble Bath and I couldn't resist. I think some of their products were in the Pretty Pink Boxes... I never got a chance to order one so I'm checking out the retailer for myself.

I ordered the Bauble Surprise which comes with a variety of bath bombs, cocoa melts, body scrubs, and samples.


I also got the Body Scrub Sampler because I didn't know which scrub to choose. It comes with 5 different 3 oz scrubs. Can you tell I'm trying to make up for the Pretty Pink Box?? Everything I got was a sampler!

The only real downer for me was the shipping, but I guess scrubs, bombs, and all that jazz can get pretty heavy. Shipping is $9, but I hope it's worth it.

Would You Buy This Again? Yes

PROS: Moisturizes even the driest cracking/peeling hands! I used to work at a place where I'd get my hands wet a lot and it really really dried them out to the point where the skin around my knuckles was so dry that it hurt :( This hand creme isn't like other lotions. It soaks INTO your hands and that's what makes it so moisturizing. You know how when you put on other lotions and you go to wash your hands maybe 15 or 30 minutes later and you can feel all the lotion soapy up and running off your hands? Well this doesn't do that. Even after 5 minutes of applying, it's completely soaked into your skin and doesn't run off when you're washing your hands.

CONS: It smells SO GOOD like almonds in the container, but once you put it on, it smells like plastic!! It's also extremely greasy and oily so you have to wait for it to soak in before you touch anything lol. I also don't like that it's in a container like this because I hate dipping my fingers in and getting some caught in my nails!

Overall, I really love this hand creme. It's especially great if you need some intensive creme, but it's also good if you need something to pick your skin up if it's a bit dry from time to time.

Would you buy this again? Maybe, leaning towards no.

PROS: Most of them SMELL AMAZING! It is definitely a waker-upper in the morning. The bottles look small, but they actually last a very long time. Mine lasted for at least a few months-- used as a shower gel and occasional shampoo/conditioner.

CONS: $16 for a bottle!! Also, the fragrance does not linger meaning once you get out of the shower, the smell is gone. (Although I do find that some last a little longer than others like Cinnamon Buns and Eggnog). The packaging is super cute and it comes with a recipe on the bottle. The cap however is a disaster. This is horrible for traveling. I had to tape my cap down so it wouldn't spill and two of my bottles' caps have broken off. I'd also only recommend this for use as a shower gel. I tried desperately to use it as a shampoo/conditioner (like Philosophy advertises), but it dried out my hair sooooo much that I just had to stop using it on my hair. I have about 12 bottles of these and for a while I was crazy obsessed with them, but now that I think about it, they are way too pricey to be used just as shower gels. Also, if you use them for bubble baths, the product will pretty much disappear right before your very eyes. You have to dump in about 1/8 of the bottle for a bubble bath (and I couldn't even smell the fragrance after that).
