I finally got my hands on two of the NYX jumbo pencils that I've been wanting! I was going to order from the NYX/Cherry Culture websites, but milk was sold out. I got these at Ulta on the first Tuesday of the month (so that means 20% off for college students with a college ID!) and it was buy one get one free so I think I paid $2 for each. I don't know how long the sale is going on for, but I saw that the L'oreal HIP line was also buy one get one free. I wanted to get the hot pink and purple jumbo pencils, but they didn't have any. Usually when I go to ULTA for jumbo pencils, I walk away empty handed because all the ones being sold are opened and have been tested by someone else, so I'm glad I finally got some that are new and unopened!

These are both great lipliners for the l/s colors that I just bought. Citrine would look great under fuschia colored lipsticks and tangerine would look amazing under peachy lipsticks.

It's like 6 in the morning and I can't sleep! This may be TMI, but I woke up at 5 because I had to pee and I have a bladder infection so it hurt like hell and still hurts like hell! I was supposed to pick up my medication at Kaiser yesterday, but when I got to the pharmacy, they transferred it over to another pharmacy at another Kaiser in ANOTHER city so I was like SCREW IT!! cuz I was so mad that I didn't want to drive all the way over there to pick it up cuz the one I went to was already pretty far... and now I'm kind of regretting that I didn't go get it so I think I'm going to get it when they open... AFTER I call them to confirm that they still have it THERE of course. They don't open for another 2 and a half hours :(
On the bright side, my dad bought me a new phone! My Sidekick was all cracked up. Half the screen was blacked out and it kept dropping all my phone calls and I didn't get reception anymore lol. So he got me a new phone after I told him not to since I switched to using my brother's old phone which worked just fine in my opinion... but he didn't listen and got me one anyway. My dad got me a Blackberry. The manly one not the girly Pearl one. But surprisingly enough, I really like it! It's pretty big for a phone to lug around though lol. It's totally something he'd get for himself haha.
I bought Chocolate Moose and I'm a little disappointed cuz on Nonpareil Boutique's website, the swatch looks like it has more of a peach shimmer to it, but it's actually far from that. There isn't any shimmer to it and it's a very light brown. I think it'd do better as an eye shadow on me. I swatched it next to Pinky since I never swatched it before and I thought you guys might like to know what it looks like since it's really hard for me to find NYX swatches of the things I want to buy.
The first two in the swatch are shimmery and the last one, Mauve, has no shimmer in it. I think these l/g are gorgeous! And they were only $2.50 each! They look smaller than the Megashine Lipglosses though, but they are also cheaper. My favorite is Ballerina Pink :) The only weird thing about these lipglosses is that they are scented like lemon Lysol or some kind of lemon household cleaning spray. I guess it's not THAT bad, but just the thought of that smell on my lips is a little nauseating... Haha!
Random P.S. -- So I pre-ordered a brush set and a lipstick from Nordstrom's Colour Forms collection that hasn't come out yet and I gave them my credit card number to hold and all that jazz (I did this in the store) and I was expecting to pay for it THAT DAY when I pre-ordered it cuz I thought that's how it works and all... But the MA said I didn't have to pay for it today so I was kinda surprised about that, but she did take my credit card number to hold the order and she told me to come back on the 18th to pick them up (and I guess pay for them too), but they charged my card TODAY the 13th. I had NO IDEA that they were going to. I just wish they would've told me cuz it feels so unauthorized. Lol. And I was thinking of canceling that order since I realized that I really don't need anymore of the same brushes. I don't know why they decided to charge me today. It's not like I ordered online or anything cuz then I'd already have paid for it. It's not like it comes out today for them to charge me today and I can go pick it up today. If they're going to charge me, they should've charged me when I made the pre-order. Boooooooo!
And I totally don't feel like going to work tomorrow! Or rather, today since it's midnight. I don't want to go to sleep, but I'm so tired! GAH. We have "trainings" every Monday and they NEVER stop. EVER. I've been working there for 4 years and I've had trainings on Mondays ever since lol. They're more like meetings where guest speakers come and talk for 3 whole hours!! That's longer than any lecture class I've ever had. Anyway, I'm totally tempted to call in sick. I have a few sick hours that I'd like to use LOL. I can never fake a good sick nasally voice though (even when I really am sick! lol and they never believe me until I come back to work and I've lost half of my voice). I barely ever call in sick so maybe, just maybe I will.
Sorry for the long rant! On the brighter side, it was my friend's birthday yesterday and we took her out to dinner today and had a blast! We went to dinner at Pasta Pomodoro. I love their free bread and pesto dip!!!! If I could go in just for that, I would cuz I didn't really like the pasta that I had. It was alright, but I could've made better myself lol. Anywho, I'm going to stop beating around the bush and get some shut eye. LaTeR mY pEePs. PeAcE. (haha jk)
This is my favorite trio out of the bunch. The colors are gorgeous and vibrant! The yellow reminds me of Crest the Wave from the MAC Stowaways palette except it's more yellow and not as frosty.
Copper reminds me a lot of MAC's Cranberry. These are all really pigmented and glide on easily. NYX Shadows are great alternatives to MAC shadows
My least favorite palette of the bunch. The colors are pretty, but I just wish they were a little more vibrant and not so murky looking... But since they are a bit murky looking, they're great for a smokey eye look.
I love pretty much all the lipsticks that I bought! I thought I bought Circe, but I guess not since it wasn't on my invoice or the email confirmation that they sent me. Flower is a really pretty color, but I might have trouble showing it some love since it's a very cool toned shimmery pink and I don't think I'd wear it much. Margarita reminds me of Sunflower only not as vibrant which makes it a bit more wearable. All these colors look really intense in the tube, but they actually go on quite sheer which I really like because I don't like lipsticks that are too intense. The color IS buildable though so if you do want a really intense color, these will deliver that as well. My favorites are watermelon, twist, and summer love :)
For all of you who have doubts about ordering from Nonpareil Boutique, I just received my package from them and there's nothing to be worried about. Right after I ordered, they immediately sent me an email confirmation and since I ordered during the July 4th holiday, my order wasn't shipped until Tuesday, but their shipping was extremely fast. They ship from California & I live in Cali so it only took 2 days for my package to get to me. They also package their items EXTREMELY WELL. All of my things were packaged in about 4 different little packs and they were heavily bubbled wrapped and taped down in addition to being place in a plastic bag. The only malfunction (or so to speak) was with my Summer Love NYX lipstick, but I don't think it was their fault. It was just the NYX packaging. The lipstick came off of the twisty thing and the whole thing was stuck inside the cap... I thought about exchanging it, but shipping will cost more than the lipstick itself since it was only $1... So I tried to scoop out as much of the l/s as I could and melted it and just put it right back in the tube... It looks a little messy and I'm definitely gonna have to use a lip brush for it, but summer love is a really pretty color!

I think I'm going to order a few more of these from Cherry Culture when the time permits. The sponge-tip applicator for these is kinda weird. The sponge part is bent. Maybe they figured it'd be easier to apply like that... I don't see a difference lol.

I LOVE NYX lipliners! Forget MAC's $12.50 lip pencil cuz these are only $1 and they're crazy long! They'll last a lifetime and then some! And at Cherry Culture they're on sale! Buy one get one free. So they're really only 50 cents. Hello? HELL YEAH BABY!
I'm not too fond of the eyeliners. The long ones aren't as creamy as the regular ones. I also find that these are hard to use over eye shadow... Like once you're done doing your eye makeup and you want to line them, it doesn't really glide on as easily as a gel liner. In fact, it's kinda hard to get them on there at all unless you have bare eyes with no shadow on... And even with that, the liners tug a little... Maybe it's just me. Does anyone else have problems with the NYX eyeliners?

Anywho, yesterday, I was thinking about how Mai said that she buys stuff to vent when she's mad, and I realized that I end up buying stuff when I'm bored or have been sitting at home for most of the day and I just need to DO SOMETHING lol... (When I'm really mad, I get things pierced) But I only buy things when no one is watching so my boyfriend can't catch me spending anymore money. The only thing that makes me feel guilty (besides all the money I spend) is when the damn packages arrive! LOL cuz then everyone sees just how much stuff I freaking order and I feel sooooo incredibly guilty like I'm a makeup whore and cannot stop buying stuff! One of my best friends said that when I like something, I REALLY like it and I go out and buy like 10 of the same thing in different colors or whatever. So now, I wait for my packages to come and quietly sneak them in and jumble them with the rest of my makeup so you can't really notice them at all... I even know what time the mail man comes by everyday. And another thing! My mail man is super nice! I hope he doesn't think I'm a spoiled brat every time he has to drop off another one of my packages. Gah I'm so pathetic! Do any of you ever feel this way? Lol or am I the only one? :(

HAHA! I love my Dad! I've always been a Daddy's girl. My parents divorced like 1 1/2-2 years ago, but I'm so happy that they did. My mom never wanted me as a daughter since she's old school Chinese and has that mentality that the son will take care of her when she gets old, so quite frankly, she always treated me like shit. I was abused when I was younger and she's a gold digger and super selfish. I even have stitches to prove it. I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but that's honestly the way she is. So ever since the divorce, life has been wonderful and my brother, dad, grandparents, and I get along so well and I love them so much. Anyway, back in the olden days in China, families only wanted the boys because when they grew up, they'd stick around, hold the family name, and be able to work in the fields or whatever. People in China STILL only want boys especially in the agricultural areas even though they have the one child law where they can now only have one kid because the population over there is so big. Tons of baby girls are abandoned and dumped in orphanages. Take a look around here in the US. Most asian kids that are adopted are girls from China. Anywho, parents don't want their female kids cuz when they get married, they go off to their husband's family and they can't work as hard. I say it's a load of shit!

A very frosty and shimmery beige
This looks really dark in the tube, but goes on pretty light. It's a nice nude l/s, but definitely not my HG one.
Shimmery light chocolate brown. This is another one of my favorites :)
Again, the swatch on Cherry Culture is wrong. This is a really pretty dark brown, but may be a little too dark for me.
On Cherry Culture, the swatch of this color is orange and I didn't see that color on my lips... It came out to be more of a caramel brown, but at least it pictured orange... shrug...
I LOVE this color! It's a brown with violet undertones so it has some purple shimmer to it.
I don't know what I was thinking when I chose this color. It's a very dark purplish gray and it looks like it'd belong better in vampire movies or something lol.

I LOVE Pandora! But I don't know when I'd ever wear it out. Lol. It's a little bold for the daytime, but it'd be a good night time color and it looks a lot more vibrant in person.
The swatch of Sun Flower on Cherry Culture is COMPLETELY wrong lol. This is one of my favorites actually. It's a light coral red. It's not too bright and bold for the color scared.

FINALLY, I received my Cherry Culture haul today! I LOVE the NYX round lippies! They're SO creamy and smooth and I totally wasn't expecting that. I'm so freakin glad that none of the stuff I ordered was out of stock! I'd hate it if I had to wait for another shipment. The shipping time was alright... A little slow if you ask me... It took them 3 days to process my order not including the weekends (on their website it says 2 business days usually at max), so really like 5 days to process... But it only took 2 days to ship since we're in the same state. They knew I was waiting, so they took it upon themselves to torture me! J/k lol.
