Product: Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Overall: 2.5 out of 5
Price: $7 for 4 oz and $12 for 8 oz
Would You Buy This Again? No, probably not.
"A refreshing, hydrating mist to use anywhere anytime. Formulated simply with fragrant Herbal Extracts and Rosewater for a pleasant, pick me up for dehydrated, tight and uncomfortable skin. Spray your day and night creams for a boost of hydration or use it to set make-up or spray on dry hair throughout the day. Safe for all skin types, gentle, non-irritating."
PROS: It's a great alternative to MAC's Fix+ Spray and it's also a lot cheaper. Fix+ is $16 for 3.4 oz and the MB spray is only $7 for 4 oz. I refrigerate my spray and I do find that spritzing some on at the end of the day is very refreshing. It also soaks into the skin pretty nicely.
CONS: As a makeup setter, I didn't really notice any differences using the spray versus not using the spray. Either way, it seemed like a bit of my makeup would rub off during the day. I also don't like the smell because it's too strong. It smells way too much like heavy rose/floral perfume. I also didn't notice any added hydration when I used it in my hair.
Overall: I only like this spray as a refreshening spray because it does the trick. I haven't used it to wet my brushes to apply pigments yet because I didn't really want to put this on my eye like Fix+.

Mario Badescu at Nordstrom!
I had NO IDEA that Nordstrom sells Mario Badescu!!!! I was at the MAC counter and I saw this green thing a few counters over and I just knew that it was Mario Badescu. The guy there was really nice! He gave me samples with my purchase. I bought the glycolic acid toner since I'm almost out of my Clinique toner and I want something that doesn't have alcohol in it like the Clinique one. I've been using it for a few days and I can tell that it's not going to work for me. It's slightly breaking me out and it leaves my face REALLY shiny looking (I guess cuz it's for dry & sensitive skin so it's trying to moisturize?) Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to return it. I wanted to try this other toner, but the MB in Nordstrom doesn't carry the whole line. Anywho, I also got the facial spray with aloe, herbs, and rosewater. I've never tried this before, but the MB website says it's supposed to "refresh, rehydrate and revitalize skin with this nutrient-rich facial spritz. May also be used to set make-up." It's only $7 for 4 oz as opposed to MAC's Fix+ that's $15 for 3.4 oz... So I decided to give this a go.
I'm psyched to try out some of the samples that the guy gave me! especially the strawberry face scrub. I've tried the kiwi one and it works great so I'll let you guys know how this one works out. MB's scrubs are very gentle and I feel like they're more like creamy face washes with some seeds thrown in for exfoliation lol. The guy also gave me a sample of the honey moisturizer and he said that one was the #1 selling moisturizer. It's a moisturizer designed for night time use though.

Mario Badescu
GEEZ I've been so STRESSED lately. There hasn't been a day that has gone by for the past week where I didn't cried or wasn't on the verge of tears. This is the first time ever that I've lost my appetite (and it's been a week) and I'm so frustrated, lonely, and even afraid. I think I lost 4 lbs this week. Not that I'm complaining, but I know it's unhealthy. I tell myself to man up--that soldiers don't cry--but I can't seem to stop myself. It's really eating me up inside and I think I've pretty much lost hope (yes, over stupid things like this and I don't even know the answer yet). I know it's not that stupid since it means a lot to me, but looking at the big picture, there are so many other things that need worrying and this shouldn't have such a high priority because relationships come and go all the time. Still, it's killing me. When I stay home, I feel so lonely and I want to be out, but when I'm out, I SHOULD be having fun, but I can't. It's miserable.
Anyway, I'm going on a camping trip with my work for 3 days... I didn't want to leave without posting something since I've been slightly MIA. Well not really, but I haven't been posting everyday like my usual habit. I still have to buy a sleeping bag and I have to pretty much do that ASAP before I leave since I've been lagging on getting it.
Thank you to everyone who left me condolences from the last few posts. It really meant a lot to me. Even if I don't know you all in real life, it's nice to know that someone takes the time to care.

I'm glad that Mario Badescu sends free samples of their skincare items cuz otherwise, I wouldn't know what to get and if I really wanted to buy it or not since the only store they have is in New York. Anywho, you can fill out a questionnaire and they'll send you free samples. It doesn't say they'll send you samples at the end of the questionnaire, but they should email you within a week or so (I think that's how long I waited) and you have to click on a link to confirm that you want samples. Then it took about another 2 weeks until I received them.
Their products are very interesting to me cuz they have a category for different skin types and I think I fall in their C,D,S category (Combination, Dry, Sensitive). My t-zone gets really oily whereas everything else is REALLY dry and sensitive means if you have red blotchy skin which sometimes I have on my cheeks.
I really like how they include an instruction guide along with the samples to tell you how and in what sequence to use everything. I love how they're extremely helpful and that they seem to genuinely care about their customers.
