Attempt at Nail Art & BB Cream Suggestions?

My nail art attempt at doing flowers:

I took it off right after though because the baby blue was brighter than I expected and it just looked way too 12 year old girly for my taste... Plus I don't know how my boss would feel about my nails while I'm giving interviews haha. I do like the flowers though. Maybe next time I'll just do it on one finger instead of all of them.

Does anyone know of any good BB creams? Or where I can get samples? I'm an NC30 in MAC for reference. I think I want to give BB creams a try cuz I'm sick of putting on foundation everyday. Foundation just feels too heavy on some days and I don't like having a cake face. I want to use something that'll actually help my even out my skin tone in the long run.

Hrm... I'm ~NC35 and couldn't find a BB cream that would match my skintone - there's a lot of light pinky shades. makeupforlife.net loves the mushroom skinfood one.

If you're main dislike is about the heaviness, why not a lighter foundation like MAC Face&Body?? I loooove this for light days. It has slightly more coverage than a tinted moisturizer with the first layer, but it's super easy to build up.

hey there - I just found out I'm the same shade at MAC (I thought I was NC20/25 but I guessed wrong, lol)...I could send you some samples of the BB creams I have (Skinfood Aloe #2, L'egere Multi White, L'egere water drop). They're all pretty light, but setting with powder evens it out.

I hear the Skinfood mushroom bb cream and one of the missha bb creams are also good.

that looks so cute! hhehe too bad it would make you look too young >_<

I really want to try more bb cream out too! But I don't think my skin is too use to it yet since I break out sometimes >_< I wish I could try more different ones! Right now I have IPKN and a sample of TheFaceShop bb cream from Jennifer...I like thefaceshop one but I would like to try skinfood and l'egere since everyone raves about those!!! I hope you can get some samples! <3 good luck. If you want a sample of IPKN I could send you some! =D

The nails are gorgeous. You should had kept it... hehe~

Most BB creams set into your skin after 5 minutes or so. I'm the same shade as you so you shouldn't have any problems.

that nail art is cute! get what you mean about the flowers looking a bit to child-like in an office environment. :)

if you mind your bb cream shades, share it here since i also don't know which one to try. :) hehehe!

I really like the nail art and color. Very cute! As for the BB Cream, I've only tried a couple BB's but both are from L'egere. The White Multi BB is really popular and I like it cause' it has a great texture. I'm an NC 35 to 37 but I use it and it's not too light since it actually blends into the skin. If it does look a lil' too light I use a lil' bit of bronzing powder. Also, it's an all in one so you get a moisturizer/sun block/makeup base/foundation for 24 hrs! The other one is the Water Drop shiny pearl kind. This one is oil free and water proof/sweat proof but has a sheerer coverage that the multi bb. I think I'm going to try the Skin Food BB next. ^_^

ditto on Joanne's comment. I tried one BB cream, but it's too light for me. I heard good things about skinfood and l'egre.

You can try Missha's #23 shade, it's darker. That baby blue is adorable!! I don't know if L'egere will work for you, I keep hearing people who have NC30 or darker use L'egere, but then it matches me so well too (NC20) and it looks pale, so I really don't know.

omg i saw this post when my dashboard showed it but i forgot to comment so...LOL i loveee the pastel blue and the cute little flowers...i use the ends of a flat toothpick (sharp on one side) and put it in to the nail polish and "stamp" it onto the nails...to make it look like flowers...LOL failed attempt many times -.-' sighhh

I've never tried BB's but I do love mineral foundations. Feels lighter than any foundation or tinted foundations I've tried.
