Nail contest

Alyssa's having a nail contest and I thought I'd give it a try. I wanted to paint french tips on my nails, but they aren't long enough yet so I attempted to do some nail art with rasta colors and I used pigments!!! It was the first time I tried mixing pigments into my nail polish and it works wonders!!! The red color is Simply Natural's razzmatazz, the yellow is MAC's true chartreuse, and the green is MAC's golden olive. It only takes a relatively small amount of pigment to mix in.

That's awesome! Can you give me a few notes on how to mix the pigments with nail polish so that it'll turn out nice like yours?

I'll try to get a pic of Apricot Frost up either tonight or tomorrow :)

Your nails are so cute! As for answering the question about the OPI Nic's Sticks - The brush might be a little too thick for the tips of a french manicure. But then again, I'm not tha t great with nails. It's worth a try. I believe Alyssa created a post using this for the tips of her nails.

Hi Lily :) Thanks for the top! That's so helpful. heh I was being dumb when I attempted to use pigments with nail polish and I dipped the brush in pigment >.<' And now there's some pigments hanging out in my clear nail polish lol but it still comes out clear :) hehe

it's actually a really shimmery colro in real life, but the 1st pic didn't capture any of the shimmery-ness. :/

I'm okay with the pigments in a bag :) I just don't liek wearing bright colors to school that much hehe
