So did I ever mention that I almost adopted a kitty cat? The boyfriend and I went to Animal Care & Control a week ago and we were just there to look at the dogs, but we ended up wandering over to the cats too. They have TONS of kittens. They are ADORABLE! The one we almost adopted was about 4 months old and his name was Mango. He LOVES to be pet so he'd come up to you and rub his face on your hands for you to pet him... He wasn't as attention-needy as most kittens are and he was REALLY mellow so I really liked that. I don't think I can deal with crazy hyper-active kitties! Lol. We ALMOST adopted him, but we both realized that in actuality, we still really want a dog. I want a pet that I can walk and exercise with. I think cats are more individualistic and dogs are more people oriented. And now that I think about it, I don't think I can ever adopt any pet with my boyfriend. I want it to be all mine. Especially so we won't run into any problems later on if the relationship doesn't work out! Lol.

School's been kicking my butt lately. Chemistry Lab especially... Not even the Chem lecture class itself, but the chem LAB! I think I had 3 hours of homework for lab itself. Good thing I saw it coming and started on it yesterday! It just sucks cuz we have to write pre-labs, our own lab reports, make our own data tables, and we have worksheets to do. My professor said she's trying to train us so we know how to write full lab reports from scratch in case we end up getting a job in a lab or something. It's useful, but just so TIME CONSUMING!!!!! haha.

Anywho, I'll leave you with some eye candy :)

Lily, trust me when I say that you'll never know the wonders of having a cat until you actually have one. I've never been a cat person and have always preferred dogs until I adopted my kitty, Tremmie. I totally fell in love with her when I first saw her. She's almost 2 now and she still suckles cuz she was abandoned when her eyes were barely opened. So, in the mornings or late nights, she'd be looking for my fingers to suckle and snuggle into me. Then she'll comfortably sleep on my tummy because she likes the breathing motion. When I try to do my homework, she'd be sleeping on my notes. I can't imagine my life without her. Even my mom adopted a cat and my mom lives alone since I'm away for college and her kitty is her best companion. Christy would meow at her to go to bed and wake her up in the morning because she knows my mom's routine. She'd be sending my mom off to work and be there waiting flat on her back belly-up (her trademark pose)at the door when she hears my mom's car.

The love from a cat is truly unconditional. Plus they're easier to clean up after as they almost never have "accidents". The most important thing is to neuter the cat first. For some reason, neutered cats are more attached to their owners and won't have the tendency to run off.

Good luck. Oh, and we have dogs too.

kittys are cute but like you, im a dog person. I might want to foster cats if things work out. Though my dream is to get two more dogs.

I used to be a dog person. In fact, I still am. But overtime, I like the fact that cats are independent, so they're less maintenance. Too bad I'm allergic :(

You make me feel so old cause I'm no longer in school. But I sure don't miss the hw! Do you want to be a chemist after you graduate?
