BEIJING OLYMPICS & long random post ahead...

Hello! Did you all see the opening ceremony to the Beijing Olympics?! It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! My eyes were glued to the tv for a good 4 hours lol. My fav part was with all the rectangular boxes that moved up and down to form the words "harmony" and other patterns. I thought it was machine operated the whole time until people popped out at the end!!!! I tried looking for a video clip of it on youtube, but I couldn't find one. Definitely WATCH THE OPENING CEREMONY if you get the chance to. It's unlike any other! I had a hard time supporting China and the Olympics before it started, but I must admit their opening ceremony was pure genius. Watch it!!!!!

Okay so on another note, my dad left for China yesterday. I doubt he's going to the Olympics since it started already anyway, but it'd be really cool if he did. He goes there like twice a year. The Olympics are supposed to be really affordable too... I think the Chinese government made it so that the average Chinese person could afford to go.

And on another random note: I really want a DOG!! Preferably a Yorkie or a Yorkie-Poo. They're so cute! I originally wanted a medium sized dog, but I don't think I have space for one so I have to choose a small dog. I'm going to the SPCA tomorrow. Doubt I'll find one there, but the cool thing about the SPCA is that they give you a quiz to fill out to help you find the perfect dog... Then when you're done with the quiz, they give you a colored paper and you go around to different cages with the matching color and TADA! You have your ideal dogs to choose from!

Sorry I haven't been posting like normal lately. I've been really busy ever since I got back from LA... But it's kind of a good thing. I think I'd run out of things to say if I posted everyday! lol. Anywho, I've been clothes shopping a lot lately too. I need to quit it so I can buy my textbooks for school since it starts in a WEEK! How lame is that? I think I'm one of the earliest ones going back to school. and my birthday is on Monday! I'm going to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for the day :)

I got my prize from Emilee's contest a while ago, but I haven't had a chance to upload the photos yet since my dad took the camera with him to China. Sorry for the long post. I think I'm just trying to kill time until 11:30 because I'm waiting to take my meds and the boyfriend is knocked out. He said he was REALLY tired at around 9:30 and I didn't believe him since he usually sleeps really late, but he is totally knocked out right now haha. Anywho, I have ANOTHER bladder infection! I'm starting to wonder if it's actually something else since I keep getting them!!!! I'm on a new antibiotic and I have to take it 4 times a day for 10 days. At least they're capsules and they're easy to swallow. Okay, enough rambling for today. Sorry this isn't make-up related!

I absolutely would like a dog as well. Will be interesting to hear more about your experience at the spca. I've always wanted a 'pug' but I'm a little nervous about the responsibility. I used to have a golden retriever and a doberman pincher and they were both great companions to me.

Well my comment is getting long! Good luck with dog-hunting!

hi lily!
agreed on you about the olympic. although there was some parts that IMHO were quite boring.. hehe.
o yea, about the bladder infection, you must drink lots of water! dont drink too much mineral water (i dunno why, but my doctor suggested me, i also have this bladder infection for 2 years.. sometimes it comes and goes.. hate it!)
i always prevent it by drinking a lot of cranberries juice and also URAL, you can find it in the pharmacy.. kinda powder which can be dissolved into water then you drink it..
hope it helps! :)
get well soon ok..
